Just echoing what others are saying. I saw 19's in the dealership and liked it, after sort of not liking it in pictures. And seeing 18's and 19's side by side, i really think it's a false choice to have to reject one and accept the other, they're both great!!!

I wonder if 50 years from now, if the "highly sought after one year only 2019 ss camaro with the flow tie" will be the most collectible of this generation? Stranger things have happened.
To the OP, enjoy your car, other's opinions really do not matter. |

I had been ruminating on this exact topic.
My FIL has a '16 RS V6 and its very nice. My wife wanted a V8 car and when i looked at Camaros for 19, i discovered (after living under a rock) about the front end changes. I HATED the pictures and was dismayed that the car had been ruined. My wife felt the same. We went to our local dealer and they had a '19 SS 1LE on the lot. My wife walked up to it and stated "look, they have one of the nice ones still in stock". She fully thought the refresh was the older model because it looked so good in comparison to all the 18's on the lot. In person, i absolutely agree that it looks fantastic and cannot understand all the crying. However, if you ARE one of the upset die hard GM people, maybe you should step back and consider that GM fans are here and will patiently wait for the next generation or refresh, but what GM has actually accomplished is changing the looks just enough to attract an entirely NEW crowd of followers. I have never owned a GM product until we purchased our '19 SS. If you have new people moving to the brand, and they like this new front end, perhaps you fanboys holding onto the retro just a little too much are the issue. |

I think it's a badass car, I like the front end on the v6 i4 and don't think the SS is that bad, just less athletically pleasing than 16-18. If the bow tie was in the upper grill and maybe the grill divider was body color I think a lot of people would suddenly like it a lot more imo.. and just like in the 17-18s I think the 1le's are even better looking.
Still you have a badass car that you like, and it's the newest version which is always nice to have. Also good choice of transmission!!

I personally prefer the 2016 to 2018. I agree that there was no need to change the front and rear bumpers. Yes it will probably grow on some people over time but not me. I am happy for my 2017 except the damn 8 speed auto which I hope they can fix this spring. Why did you have to change the looks on the 2019 when people were quite happy with it and nobody asked them to change. Maybe GM should take a pole before they make changes.

I know this is the first model year of the refresh which makes this worry a bit premature, but I am concerned that while other generations' mid-cycle refresh hinted at/tested the waters for (however subtly) the next generation's design language, the refreshed LS/LT/RS models' design seems to be moving back a step rather than forward, back to the 5th gen. I loved my 5th gen so I can't help but like those trims' grilles, but after a decade of that basic design and derivatives of it, I think that when it comes, the 7th gen needs to be a more extensive departure from what has come before. Still time to make that happen, but I just didn't get what I expected from this refresh. Stay tuned, I guess. |

Well I was looking for a DD and looked at the Mustange GT350, Shaker Challenger and the SS. I had a 69 and 74 and loved them, saw the SS in person and loved the entire package. Settled on a 2SS with the 1LE package and a stick.
So far loving it and I get a lot of people that that comment on the ride. Cant wait till the break in is done to toss her on the track... |

I didn't like the front end when I first saw pics and the hate videos of it.
Then I saw it in person and really like what they did with it. Now I own one and especially like the way it drives. Lots of great comments on it. The only one in my town makes it exclusive too. |

Wow! Thanks for all the feed back, guys.. You guy's are REAL when it comes to these cars!
Other inexpensive options that make the ownership experience enjoyable is the red hashtags and the adrenaline red seat accent option. |

I too have gotten nothing but compliments. People think it is an amazing car....which I agree with of course. A few have asked for a ride....which I obliged them.....and after that, they are just giddy.....love it!! Yes, the first one is a lemon(knock on wood...no issues since engine replacement)but I'm not willing to give up on this car and I'm glad I haven't. Replacement is built and should be shipped shortly. Can't wait!!!

I personally prefer the looks of my '19 compared to the '16-'18. BTW -other cars have a lot of black trim up front-like the '16-'18 Focus RS did (I had a '17) (black strip over front end); the upcoming Shelby GT 500; a version of the Dodge Charger...also the 19' supposedly has better cooling...
