My car for 2019 is $1,400 cheaper than sticker on my 2018. V6, Blue cloth ashen grey interior RS with Tech and flat black 20s, although salad spinner wheels

I think this is why there will be no more new 6th gen models. They're getting the 7th gen done ASAP in order to recover lost sales. Why design/engineer a solution to complaints for a car that'll only be out for two more years when you can fix all of them with an all-new model that'll stick around for 5-6 years? I hope to see a new generation Camaro for the 2021 model year.

I'd disagree for a couple reasons:

1) The 6th gen's performance trims (if this is what you mean by "new models") were announced very early on. It was immediately clear from the start that the 1LE and ZL1 would be available relatively early on in the 6th gen's life cycle versus the 5th gen, which took 4 model years before the 1LE and ZL1 came out. GM very intentionally decided not to stagger the trims out this time, maybe because their goal was to crush the 6th gen Mustang's performance. Last time, it wasn't as competitive because the Mustang GT had a very wimpy engine initially.

2) We already have spy shots of the stripper V8 trim that is likely coming out as MY2020. Therefore, we have at least one more trim coming out before the 6th gen is retired.

As an aside per your last comment, there's no way we're going to see a 7th gen with availability for MY2021. That's way, way too fast. There are no spy shots of such a car. The more likely scenario is that the 7th gen is still in a phase of planning where they very safely outright cancel it depending on the market forecast.

Man! Me too! Burned it to the ground because I don't like the sales numbers.

I'll take it off your hands. I don't want you to suffer anymore. Let me know when I can pick it up.

Silly question , but did we ever get confirmation of those numbers that were all arguing about? I know even the OP stated that some of the numbers were suspect.

You wont get confirmation of those numbers as GM only officially announces quarterly numbers now, so these numbers were probably leaked by an insider. I have no doubt they are probably legit as the Camaro is consistently lagging behind the Stang and Challenger.

Huh? ZL1 came out after 2 model years, not 4

5th Gen launched as a 2010 MY
ZL1 was launched as a 2012 MY
1LE was reintroduced as 2013 MY

If accurate, the Camaro's January 2019 sales figure is very disappointing. However, it's also not surprising when the country, as a whole, has been experiencing extremely cold weather conditions. For example, I live 60 miles east of Sacramento and we received 30" of snow this past week with more snow forecasted to occur this weekend.

Blah, you're right. Either way, the 6th gen was more aggressive in terms of getting performance trims out the gate. The ZL1 and 1LE both came out after just 1 model year. Then the ZL1/1LE came our after 2 model years. I guess GM really has been doing something "new" to the Camaro for every model year so far.

2016 - launch
2017 - ZL1 and 1LE
2018 - ZL1/1LE
2019 - refresh
2020 - budget v8???

Not to mention the shutdown for a vanity wall that put 800k w/o pay for 5 weeks and scores of others also affected who won't get back pay. Hard to plan a major purchase when you don't know when your next check arrives.
AND the wx nationwide. I drove from Florida to Md. to trade for my Camaro and on 1/2,it was 43 degrees when I picked it up. Turns out that was warm.
That dealer has sold 2 Camaros since I bought mine and they still have 25 more.

Vanity wall? I wish some people paid what my household pays toward educating these peoples kids via property taxes in sanctuary states like IL. Far more real people suffer daily with no garranties in life such as job security, healthcare and pension that the private sector provides to the public sector. I don’t agree with forcing people to work without pay like air traffic controllers and such, although feel the private sector could perform many of these roles just as well if not better.

1. How about the fact that the deals were in December, that’s the best month to buy a Camaro if looking for a deal. Once January hits, the dealers are probably thinking they will sell in spring. 2. Refresh bow tie in wrong place, hopefully moved in 2020 on the SS. 3. Poor remaining 18’s on the lot to pick from.

Please note, I wasn’t the one who brought in the politics.
