They look better in person. But thats not what killing sales. Its the fact that Chevy has a nice car but keep it hidden in the closet instead of presenting it to the world.

The parts manager for the dealer is a woman. I had her recommend a sales person. Turned out she is an actress and ex-Budweiser girl. I went in for the first meeting. They had to look into if they could get a 2018 model.
So I came back a second time to see what they found. She had a couple cars but no ZL1 never even mind a ZLE.
I told her they were beautiful cars but were missing the blower. She thought I was referring to something sexual😂😂😂

Anyhow. I told her we better look into ordering a new one. Trust me she shifted gears fast. Once they found out their dealer could get an allocation it was an open door to fun for me. Ordered the car exactly how I wanted it.

I had a feeling dealing with a women would be easier. Every guy I dealt with at dealers were always trying to push something on their lot or they could get from another dealer. Plus the guys knew fack all on top of it. This lady didn’t know about the car. Neither did the manager. It was a lesson for them on what you could and couldn’t get with certain packages. Right down to the floor mats literally. But she definitely provided a great experience and LISTENED to me on everything I wanted. She let ME do the ordering.

Hell I left one dealer telling the salesman to go back for training and he was a reject. The guy was trying to tell me there was no supercharger offered on any Camaro.

If this is accurate, this is the lowest monthly sales for Camaro since 2010 by a very big margin. It means that it's continuing down a very steady trajectory of year-to-year sales declines, and the 2019 refresh did nothing.

That's cuz 2019 refresh addressed wrong issues.

1. Dark interior - would a light color headliner kill GM ?

Any interior decorator knows that bright ceiling makes room FEEL larger. Is it even option on ANY trim ? Other than convertible.. that has open SKY option.

2. Steering wheels that does not tilt UP enough

YES, I like to see that I forgot to cancel a turn signal.

3. Driver side mirror that does NOT tilt down in reverse

YUP, not all streets are TWO ways and people like to see curb before hitting it.

4. Day / Night Mode

Screen takes eternity to go back to light mode after dark tunnel and way too sensitive and no adjustment on said sensitivity.

5. Sun glass storage

When its standard on $16,000 focus not net even option on $70,000 camaro.. someone F'd up.

Blind spot monitoring should be standard on this car, let alone any $38k car.

Even if it isn't a real issue, perception is reality and most non-hardcore, non- GM fans are turned off by it.

Every month the Camaro figures are low compared to others. Every month we have to remind people that GM cut their fleet sales and Ford does huge amounts of fleet cars and rentals which is the main reason for the huge discrepancy. One or two people actually read and understand then people forget and the chicken little syndrome carries over for another 5 pages.

#3 is not true, the other points you're making are valid, although I doubt they'd make much of a difference in sales, maybe apart from the headliner.

What's horrible is people get so worked up to prove someone wrong with start looking at their profile and posts. Seriously, get a life.
