Headers and a convertible question

Hi all, I am looking at the following for my ride:
https://www.texas-speed.com/p-5887-t...ion-pipes.aspx

Being that I am no car expert I was hoping that someone might have first hand knowledge on a couple of items.
1. What is the TSP 6mm Tunnel Plate Spacer used for and is it required?
2. There is a note that additional modification is needed for convertibles, this has me a bit concerned and was hoping someone out there that might have installed these could give me a run down of what they ran into.
As always any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Currently I have flow-master axle-back, roto-fab CAI, and ported throttle body. I will likely go with the SCT tuner from RDP when I order the headers.

The challenge with a convertible is all the cross bracing on the bottom of the car. I would contact Texas Speed with your questions about their product to see what they say.

You don't say who is tuning for the headers. If you aren't tuning the car yourself then I suggest you buy a tuning solution based on the recommendation of the person that will tune for the headers. There are a few vendors that will include the tune for free if you buy the headers and tuner from them. They may also have header recommendations for a convertible.

The spacers are for the tunnel brace. It gives you a bit more clearance for larger exhaust piping. If you are ordering the headers with the short connection you will not need them since the exhaust tubing running by the brace will still be the stock size.

Also, the short connection will not interfere with the convertible. If you keep your mid pipe stock you won't run into any issues. We carry TSP headers as well. You can save a few bucks with us too with code CAMARO6.

You want a short header system with just the mid pipes. We have a few sets here. We can get TSP if you call us.
