I just hit 1500 miles and thinking about taking it to dealership for first oil change this weekend.

Should I also have them change rear differential fluid? If yes, do I need to tell them what kind oil they need to use or they will know what to use?

Great Weather

I was able to detail it for the first time in daylight! It has been raining practically since I bought it. It was cold today, so detailing was pretty cold on the hands.

These are awesome cars and the paint quality is on par with any car I've ever owned including BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, etc, etc. Thanks GM.

Rinsed my son's 17 RS off today in 33 degree weather (road film) after a 50 mile round trip to the dentist Wed. It was 74 degrees yesterday here in NE MS. Man, this global warming is somewhat eratic!

Drove it to dinner, parked in a strange shaped spot. Wasn't semetrical so I parked along the outer curb(50% less chance of door ding ) and looked like I parked crooked. Which from one side I guess I did.

Installed the ZL1 Addons rear lower body extensions to match the diffuser. I installed them smooth side up and covered with gloss black adhesive vinyl to match the side skirts.

The_sim: For the rear calipers I bought a set of GM red performance rear calipers from GMPartsdirect.com. Not the cheapest way to go, but guaranteed to match the front 6-piston red calipers. Had them on hand when the car delivered and my dealer installed them along with the factory ground effects at delivery for no charge. (VERY happy with my dealership...)

Not lowered. The photo with the top down was taken in my driveway which is sloped. The front suspension is slightly loaded because of that. Also the 285/305 tires fill out the wells a bit.

DC5: Thanks! This is the first car I’ve ever ordered from the factory, with everything I wanted. My dealership totally came through on making my dream car a reality.

I added the MRR FS01’s and Michelin PS4S tires (all set up from PK Auto Designs) at 500 miles. Car has just over 8000 on it now.

Where’s the best place to buy the dark taillights? They look great!
