Long story. But the short notes are: Scheduled replacement resulted in them bringing a non PDR piece of glass. Had to schedule a week later due to work trips, so I am having replacement attempt number 2 on 1/22/19. I will report back after its done (assuming they bring the correct glass this time around).
Also, were you cruising with me on 595 East Bound last week? A ZLE was rolling with me in formation. |

Windshield was finally replaced and frankly the installer from Safelite did a great job. There is no wind noise or creaking whatsoever and the PDR and HUD work as they did from the factory. I was told by the installer that in order to accommodate the PDR, they had no other option than the OEM glass. The new glass has the GM logo in the bottom passenger side corner. All in all, they came to my office and installed the glass, and it looks as if it came off the dealer lot with 5 miles on it, and insurance covered it all.
Oh, the invoice to Progressive was $831.82, with $628.40 being apportioned to the glass. According to my receipt, they also vacuumed the vehicle and cleaned all exterior glass, but I don't really think either of these happened..... |
