I’m just saying an automatic makes driving easier, at any level.

Drive the A10 if you like. But it won't feel like this. This feeling is why I got into cars in the first place.

I think, in the end, when the Electric Cars take over, there will still be a bunch of motorsports enthusiasts looking for stick cars to get their jollys, and personally, I hope I can still push in the clutch pedal. I'm not sure I can say the same for all the slush boxes, no matter how many gears they have or how fast they shift.

I'm not a big NASCAR guy accept for Bristol & when they hit a rare road course, but man is Formula 1 popular everywhere in the world but here for some strange reason...for anyone to say these drivers is not engaged with the course & car because both hands stay on the wheel loses all credibility. They are amazing machines & drivers. Still haven't seen the self proclaimed superior manual driver address. Doubt anyone would be willing to tell Hamilton he's a scab to his face & doesn't drive a real car.

Isle de Man tt is the most exciting & demanding motorsport where a manual clutch is involved. They got it figured out across the pond.

Really, to put down the power of a 600hp car, an auto of some kind is the best way, that said, I hope it doesn't make it to the SS 1LE.

Agree, I like the manual exclusivity and every time I see one on the road knowing whether it's a man or woman driving they're 3rd peddling.

NASCAR has lost a lot of fans due to the cars no longer being stock cars. Formula 1 cars have electronic clutch, which they only use to start the car, shift to 1 or Reverse and believe it or not to launch the car. Formula 1 cars transmission are probably the most expense part in the car and cost up into the millions. Their transmission is a semi-automatic transmission, and they still are shifting gears with the paddles. The steering wheel has all the extra controls they need, hence all the buttons on the steering wheel. The clutch is either a button or paddle. This is also why there hands are always on the steering wheel, that is where all the controls are. Soo believe it or not Hamilton is still shifting gears. So to think that Formula 1 or any race car doesn't require shifting is incorrect. Have fun trying to get into one of those cars and just driving off without any instructions.

I have nothing against the A10, but would rather be shifting. This move is good for our community/consumer and GM/Chevy.

Not one person at all said you don't shift a F1 car. Not sure why you even said that. They have paddle shifters just the same as the Camaro that computer control a shift to shift faster than the driver could.

LOL, we all gather joy in different ways. I for one am glad the A10 is an option now, but to claim driving an A10 is as engaging as a manual maybe eludes more to a lack of experience owning both. I love my DCT, just as good as the A10 i am sure.....but wow...it has really gotten boring over 2.5 years and will be sold in the next 30 days.

To each their own, but they are not the same experience even remotely. I am sure the GT500 will be offered in manual in 2021, that will increase sales as people like me would rather buy a manual than a auto...super car or not. Look at Porsche reversing direction and offering the manual again in their track cars.

LOL, I am guessing you have never driven a manual. Well....not really guessing HAHAHA.

Tremendously easier!

Nothing wrong with that at all, more choices is better for the consumer and usually the company offering the product.

I am for the A10 as an option in every Camaro...1LE or not.

I think this is great, and if nothing else, I think it will make the future comparisons between the DCT GT500 and an A10 ZLE that much more interesting!

I daily drove my 2005 Lotus Elise for over a year. And that is one of the most driver oriented cars every made. So no you guessed wrong. I just don't get all worked up thinking shifting gears somehow is this huge orgasmic experience. It's fun and quicker in some cars and in some the auto/dual clutch is faster. I'm for quicker times and ability to use all the power.
