So far so good, they also replaced my stator shaft

How is the transmission since getting this flush?
After the first flush at 10 or 11k miles I think, ran great, at about 26k miles started to feel the shudder again, this time it was more pronounced in V4 mode and @ lower speeds (50-60mph) & RPMs (1100/1200) unlike the first time where it was more pronounced at 60-75mph and 1500-1900 RPM in V8 mode.

Each time though, I could still feel the shudder at various speeds and RPM's.

Like the first time, I just got it flushed this week and so far, no shudder, runs great.

I drive a hour to work everyday so I do experience the shutter issue. I did notice when I was in lite traffic and and I placed the transmission in M7 I do not experience the shutter. I do still feel the shutter when I'm almost at work and going up a hill at around 40 mph and is very severe and this happens in both in Drive and Manual mode. I hope GM gets a handle on this issue before the transmission is trashed.

It has been in the dealers shop twice for this and both times they did the flush reprogram and it has came back again not as bad this time but back again. However yesterday I got the check engine light to go with it. I ran a scan on it and it came up P0700 nad there was another that went with it I think it was P0738 A or B, I cannot remember. Called the dealer they said bring it in and on the way it started to act like it was running a 3500 stall converter every time I took off and if wanted to get up to 40 MPH it was running about 3000 RPM and felt like it was stuck in 3rd gear. It would not let me manual shift either. Dealer says I should here from them by Friday to let me know what is going on and the fix. This is starting to get real frustrating, they need to fix the damn thing and quit putting a band aid on it.
When I here something I will let you know,
Now back to you regularly scheduled programming.
So, I got the Fifty back yesterday.
This is what was done.
They replaced the transmission temperature sensor along with transmission harness, did the flush once again, not sure if there was any different procedure done for that, also they finally drained and replaced the rear differential fluid do to the groan when cold. All is good right now, but have only driven about 20 miles. Except I am tired of winter and ready for spring to get here.

I'm watching all this discussion with great interest since recently discovering the shudder in my 2017 2SS. I haven't contacted the dealer yet.

The transmission temperature thing has me scratching my head. My trans temperature has not budged over 100 yet. For something mechanical on a car that seems very low considering the human body operates at 99 degrees! The gauge goes from 100 to 300. I'm wondering why the temperature stays so low and why it never increases?

All of this is just smoke and mirrors and GM knows this...they are just trying to buy time until powertrain warranties are up and most people will not opt to pay for any type of repairs, will either deal with them or get rid of the car.

Very unfair to most specially from folks that spill blood and sweat to make a living.
Spending 50k for a vehicle that dreamed to own but such just dissapointment.

Common GM do right for your consumer. Own it!

As much as I may be skeptical of this new fix, there’s really only one way to confirm that moisture is the cause, or at least a major contributing factor. Someone that currently has the shudder could send a sample of their fluid out for independent analysis.

I have posted elsewhere that a dealer in the area replaced my TC (after doing battle with other dealer most of the summer). Now my concern is to keep it from being destroyed by whatever the root cause of the shudder is. I see GM is trying a new fluid and I have called the same dealer to see if they will do a preemptive fluid change even though I do not, at this time, have the shudder. Maybe the new fluid is just "smoke and mirrors" but I will do everything I can to keep from going through this BS again.

Called my dealer where i got the car just now to ask about the fluid and he told me call back in two weeks they haven't got it yet and another few people are waiting as well. He told me some other local dealers may have gotten it but I'm not trying to run around to find this shit. Never had a car where there was a issue without a antidote near site. LOL

I haven't called my dealer yet, waiting a few more weeks until my oil needs to changed, then call to bring in for both. Not holding my breath that this will fix it, but might as well try.
