Brembo GT kit

Just wondering if anyone is running the Brembo 15.9" front brake kit?

What's your goal here? Show car, track car, or just want to spend money?

Solid bridge on the caliper rules them out for the dual-duty street/track guys.

Why not just run the ZL1 brakes? They're on the border of being too good for SS power levels on the track. Even with 20 minute hot-lap sessions I can't get the calipers over 250°F with stock cooling ducts.

Now onto maintenance. Does Brembo easily sell replacement pads and rotors?

Finally, have you looked at the caliper clearance template to make sure they'll clear your wheels? The variety of OEM Camaro brake setups now have a solid knowledge base of what wheels fit.

my buddy works for brembo and got me an awesome deal but still didnt pull the trigger lol

the best bang for your buck is the gm performance kit but if you want to spend $$$ its a awesome kit 1 piece or 2 piece rotors it definately gets up there in price!

To echo what RYEPHILE said and spin it a bit - looks like you have a regular SS. You could upgrade the fronts with some take off or new J6M (17+ SS 1LE) brakes, rotors & calipers, and be a nice upgrade. Not as nice as J6H (ZL1) like we both have on our 17 SS 1LE's, but, still very good.

This is a complete custom application. A 16 camaro ss front caliper will bolt directly to a c6 corvette front spindle. But it spaces the caliper out to far for the stock rotor. A 16" rotor would be perfect for the project. Brembo will only sell it as a complete package. they will sell replacement parts but require the part numbers off the equipment you already have.

I can cut the c6 spindle and weld the mounts to a different location if need be i was just trying to avoid that.

If someone already was using the kit i was going to see if i could get the part numbers.

How much difficulty with changing from SS1LE TO ZL1 brakes on your cars?

Easy. Rears: Calipers, rotors, pads. Fronts: Same plus the flex hose and either trim you heat shields or buy new ones.
