They fit nice. I just want it to be more like my amg. I like the bottom of the zl1 seats. Theyre nice. It just wanna get a seat that looks more like a race car seat but still keep my cooling and heated seats.

I also noticed that the Caddys have lumbar adjustment... so electronically I don't know what would happen or if the plugs would even match... giving an airbag light.... this being the only reason why I don't go with aftermarket Recaro Sportster CS seats which are pretty much my fav seat of all time.. that look plus they are light and still have creature comforts, but being aftermarket... no way around the Airbag light on the dash.... Anyway back to the Caddy seats.... look at the seats I found for sale... they go for around 2.5K avg. I didn't find a Pic where you can see the connection under.... which makes me think maybe caddy's have some different type of harness/connection which would complicate things.... Wish I had a close friend with one so we can test it out.

I STRONGLY advise against this. The Recaros are designed to fit the chassis. The ATS V seats are set for a different H point. Having been in the OEM seating business watching people switch seats makes me cringe. These seats have side air bags in them etc. and when you track these cars you are asking alot from the safety systems.
The C7 seats have different track mounts.....they do not fit well.

As for the airbag, you can typically add a resistor with a fuse to get around the the airbag warning. Nigel |

There will always be something better. Just because something came on a car, doesn't mean its the best. Cost, strategies, etc, etc also decide.... You should know since you are in the seating business. I wont change my seats YET because i haven't found a suitable solution to replace but our Recaros ain't the best They are VERY VERY GOOD. I may not work in that industry but I've had many Pairs of seats from OG Recaros, to Type R, to Bride seats, to any seat worth mentioning (never cheapo seats)

If/when the time comes, I'll use the custom upholsterer I've used in the past on my cars. I'll have him replace the seat material with a quality leather including the center sections and all the other faux suede, add inflatable lumbar, etc. Those are my issues with the ZL1 interior.
Kip used to do interiors for a car guy named Troy Trepanier. He's a wizard at boring redesigning oem interiors.

I have a friend with a C7 GS. He told me that he thought about upgrading to the competition seats, but when he talked to the dealer, he noped straight out. At least in Canada, the dealer was telling him that they sell that seat by pieces(not an assembly) and each seat would set him back CAN$2~3k. So expensive and assembly required. Lovely.
As far as my understanding goes, these seats are also not very commonly optioned on C7 Corvettes(they are a completely separate option AFAIK, not part of any packages other than maybe the Z07, which is also not common), so the junkyard idea probably won't work so hot, either. Just like others in the thread said, the stock Recaro seats are amazing, and if you want an upgrade, lots of cheaper options out there that are pre-assembled and probably far better than the competition seats(which ones of my friends who had a C7 with them said were pretty meh). As for the Caddy ATS-V ones, they don't look they are hugely different from the SS 1LE seats to warrant the price and instalation hassle.
