Yum yum. Not sure about the 4250 lbs tho. If that's true, wow. But other than that, looks freaking sick. Might have to sell the 350 now. Will await the specs.

Did you mod it yet? You should have held out for the GT500. By the time it is available I'll be in a position to buy one. I just don't know if I can trust them knowing all the issues the S550 has had as a whole thus far. But it is tempting. I have a few dealerships getting info for me.

I'm good. I got a deal on the 350 so I'll end up coming out even depending how much I mod. Yea, I started. Just a JLT intake/E85/Tune. Nothing big yet. Waiting to get the Zl1 back from the dealership, then it's gonna get sold. (The Zl1 I mean).

500 won't be out till end year, maybe 2020, but I won't pay ADM, so I'm gonna wait for the hoopla to die down. (According to the GM who sold me his 350, he said don't hold your breath on the 500. Might be 2020 till it hits floors so.

Again, I'm waiting on the ME Vette too so. I'm only interested in the HALO version so I'd assume 2020 as well for that as well. I have a year to play around with the 350. These cars ain't hitting dealers any time soon so.

Cars. They come, they go. They come, they go. haha.

Why is it in the dealership and why (after all the money and mods you threw at it) are you selling it??

Yea I'm sure it'll be out by the end of the year as a 2020 MY if not a bit sooner. By then I'll be looking to get rid of my ZL1 for something. Either a GTR, C7 Z06, or possibly one of these. I'm also considering just holding onto the ZL1 until the 7th Gen comes out. Looking at the C8 Vette's numbers I can only imagine the 7th Gen ZL1 will be something else. Anyway ADMs on the GT500 will be thru the roof. And I refuse to pay any markup. So my chances of getting one are slim to none at best. But it's cool because like I mentioned, there are several other vehicles and options that have my attention. I'm under the impression that Ford will release HP, price, and performance numbers today so I'm waiting to see what it comes out to be. I'm gonna say $75K MSRP.

Yes the 2020 Vette might be just in time for me so that I don't have to wait for the next ZL1. I won't buy a standard Vette tho. So I'll have to wait to see what the next Z06 or some other higher performance version has to offer before I choose. And of course the price, lol!! I'm thinking (hoping) we'll see the next Z06 as a 2021 MY at the latest. It's a long wait but I can hold out I think.

Cars indeed come and go. There are lots of options right now for people who want Supercar level performance. The GT500 is starting to look a bit promising truth be told. But until there is more info and a detailed review I won't keep my hopes up.

Looks great. Unfortunately it will not fit into my Financial Plan for a toy.

ZL1 numbers, likely tens of thousands more expensive. Styling is a toss up IMO.

Just curious where do you gather this information from?

Ford is claiming under 11 sec quarter mile. But, yeah, they and the Ford fanboys sure know how to hype this thing up. So we will see ADM's and it will hold its value well or better than competitors. People will justify the dealer marks up too.

Over 700 HP likely could mean 720 and the spreadsheet leak could be the truth. Don't forget 4200 curb weight.

An auto magazine on Youtube mistakenly listed the car as having mid or sub 11 sec quarter mile times while Ford officially claims below 11 seconds.

So here are the cliff note highlights for people.

Direct From Ford

700+ HP
Tremec 7 Speed DCT ( Didn't see that one coming. I know they were testing it, but I thought they scrapped it and went A10)
Mid 3 second 0-60
Sub 11 second 1/4 mile
Largest front brakes in segment

Initial thoughts, I am shocked Ford actually stated mid 3 0-60 and sub 11 1/4. Very unford like.

From other sources,

Looks like there will be a " base model", Aero Pack and track pack, car has a carbon fiber drive shaft

Largest front brakes cause heaviest.. Not comparing Fatcat.

I'm sure it'll be a monster. Prefer the 350 looks myself and wish this was offered with a manual, but no doubt engine will be amazing. Hopefully it's relatively reliable.
