Funny that you post this, I have been researching this exact idea. From what I have found, the C7 comp seats will not simply bolt in because of different chassis architecture; however, the ATS-V seats would (same architecture). I like the look of the V seats, but to plush for my liking and would not match the ZL1 interior very well.

Awesome idea. Definitely going to watch this thread to see if anyone succeeds in this...

The Alpha chassis seats have this hook that slides into a receiver in the floor in the front, and bolts down in the rear.

I don't think there's any way to make the C7 seats bolt in. Everything is possible with a welder, but in the end it's probably a lot easier to buy a nice aftermarket seat and some Brey-Krause mounts.

The CTS-V appear to be the same basic seat frame as the 6th gen Camaro. Not much difference outside of cosmetics. I haven’t seen a seat upgrade in any car that was significantly different than the base seat. It’s usually just a seat foam and cover change even with the Recaro options.

I'm curious what would prompt you to want a different seat? I sat in a Z06 with comp seats and it completely turned me off from wanting one. I think my ZL1 seats are extremely comfortable and offer plenty of support.

Also, I would imagine going with an aftermarket seat would be cheaper than finding a V3 or Z06 seat.

I don't think the ATSv/CTSv seat is an amazing difference. I do like the Caddy seat because it has built in passages for harness belts.

Well I used to have a callaway c7 z06 and I loved the seats. I have a mercedes c63s rn and I love the seats that are in it. I like the seats in my 1le and all. I just like the design of the c7 ones better. Love the holes for the seatbelts. I only wanted to see if anybody had even done it or if it could be done. I wouldn't go aftermarket because I still want the heated and cooled seats. I would like to stick with something oem. I like the ats-v seats a lot. Gonna have to look into it.

I'm gonna research it a little more. Then talk to a shop and see what they think about it. Then see what I could do.

I luv the fit of the ZL1 recaros but luv the look of the competition seats. Not that I want to spend the $’s but interested in seeing the outcome.

I am wide between the shoulders and did not think I would like the c7 comp seats. I actually love them.

Never thought about theres. These would match perfect on my SS 1LE.

I love the C7 ones but they wont fit. And also i believe they are too wide since they have the blocks that are airbags on the side. The rails at the bottom would need to be custom made.

I like this cadillac idea. They look like the mercedes a bit, wonder is they are too soft considering they are in a cadillac or if they stay true to their recaro name
