First run was decent - 2.04 60 foot. The second was embarrassing - tried the 5000 rpm launch control - massive wheel spin and throwaway run. Notice ~.6 different in 60 foot/ET and the mph was only .5 off between the two.

Another data point was a 2019 1LE showed up...first time ever to a track...terrible 60 foots (2.3 / 2.4)... and still ran a 12.9 @ 112 mph.

So the car is better and may be 100%, dyno test will be litmus test on Wednesday.
That's great news. I think that's really all the confirmation needed to confirm it's back to 100%.

Thumbs up

It’s about time they got you fixed up. It would be nice if dealerships would listen the first time after all some people know what their cars should do.

Your launch control is set to 5k? On my car it hits 5k but if you give it a second it lowers and stays around 3-3.5k. I think 1le's launch control is supposed to be around the 3-3.5k range not 5k.

How does launch control work? I thought it was only on the ZL1s.

car has to be in competition mode (or track will also work I believe)
foot FULLY on the clutch and mash the gas I will shoot up to like 5000 5500'
and the settle back down to I thought 4000 but I don't remember
then release the clutch as slow as you can
that's how I got mine to work

Evidently Ramseys in Tampa Fl will get you 3 - 4 runs for just 80 bucks.

Local dyno did 423/420 (STD).... its a little higher reading dyno i suspect.

With a bit of delay got the car back on the same dyno to confirm the engine health.

It certainly felt stronger, pulled cleanly, and of course the drag times are closer to correct.

Did 6 runs back to back as a bit of a stressor to give piece of mind. Good curves with a peak of 405 WHP...SAE standard.

All 6 runs are included along with a number of previous runs when the car had a programming anomaly:

Unfortunately, I did not have another car to directly compare today, but the dyno operator was quite confident that comparing SAE numbers between cars on different days is quite accurate.

Compared to the other two nearly identical 1LE's best runs (again different days):

Note: the lowest HP car was one with the same air intake (unsure of the reflash). The middle HP car was stock intake box. Mine is the top HP (405) by a fraction. The torques are a bit all over the place. The two cars with the air intake have the richer AFR's...not much good trends. Again, different days, but all three cars are nearly identical even the miles are reasonably similar (2500-6500 span).

My real concern was the integrity of the catalytic converters...once this goes on the boat - all issues are mine to deal with.

So it goes to the docks on Friday next week...next stop is Stuttgart, Germany in the middle of winter...may have to start a 'journey' thread - should be fun.

Tim, Glad to hear you SS is putting down better numbers down. I'm in the same area, recognize Ramsey's from your photo. Curious which dealer you used, if you don't mind sharing...

Any plans on doing the Nordschliefe?
