Sorry for the rant.

Not a rant. And yeah a video would be great.

I remember reading it on a tech document/post somewhere. I can’t remember where though. Sorry!!!

But yes the EU car behavior that Soliel mentioned is what we supposedly have here. It’s not a hard close. But a feathering in lower speeds and start up with the fuse in when in track mode is the norm.

Now I want to mount a GoPro or scope to the rear and see if this is true. Hmm.

I can buy that from you, knowing you. When the weather gets better, I'll attach my gopro under the car to watch the valve operation, if possible.

Appreciate it. I try not to spout nonsense. After the holidays I will see if I can find that article again. Otherwise I will try and wire a scope cam (if it’s not busted) to the exhaust to see. Or if your GoPro skills trump/beat me lol

I know at start-up the valves are open. They’re normally open when there’s no power to them (spring loaded that way and thus the result when pulling the fuse). I run mine in track mode, for engine sound management, all the time and I believe at around 2500 RPM they open up under moderate excelleration. Earlier if excellerating harder. Honestly haven’t driven her almost a month now and I can’t really remember for certain. It’s fairly tame at idle. So that would be the biggest difference I’ve noticed between F51 in or out.

Just my $0.02.

Personally I like to have the option to be a little quieter. Stealth mode is a LOT quieter than I would have thought possible while still having it be moderately noisy.

BTW, since adding the GM-CAI it’s just a little more throaty.

Am I missing something or are the hood stripes missing? (Might be the angle.)

I’ve seen one owner that had them removed and then had the stripes painted on.

Didn’t notice that but yeah it looks like it’s missing the hood and deck lid vinyl. Could be angle though like you mentioned.

I'll be damned, his stripes are missing.

Valves closed, exhaust goes through the inner tips, open they go through the outer tips. I leave mine in Track all the time, the inner ties stay clean. Like I said, I would like to prove myself wrong. Thus, being scientific to make it fact.

We'll make it official, I'm on a mission now.

Go get ‘m Heath.

I won’t have a weather option (or a teather for my GoPro).

All my tips get sooty.
