Fwiw...

Everyone on my local forum knows the issues I've had so not selling it without disclosing the issues.

$12k in mods and labor down the drain.

Lesson learned!

I'll just buy a factory hotrod with warranty next and leave it stock.

ZL1 or ZO6 is next.

Sealing the intake rockers isn't a big job, time or money wise. That said, I used teflon tape which is frowned upon. Next time I will use a more popular sealant.

If you google 'how to seal intake rocker bolts' you will find a bunch of threads that sound like your oil issue. If you don't want to do it yourself I don't think it's expensive to get it done at a shop. Or your friend who helped with the heads.

No clue about your transmission codes, but I would start by looking at the electrical connections for the transmission. And there are some important grounds on the back of the heads that you should verify - common issue when heads are swapped. They can cause all kinds of strange electrical problems.

Maybe check into a few things before you give up on it.

I tried to buy a brand new ZL1, but no dice.

Guess I'll stick with this ting and try to fix it.

Asked my friend if he sealed the rocker bolts and he said no and that he didn't recall the TFS instructions stating to. LOL

TFS GenX 255 instructions clearly say to seal the rocker bolts.

So now I know that I need to seal the rocker arm bolts.

What do I use to seal the rocker arm bolts??

A little high temp RTV on the threads should do it

Intake rocker arm bolts had no sealer on them.

We pulled all intake rocker bolts and sealed them with black rtv.

Car is running stronger now!

No more oil smell in exhaust, etc.

Weird, but my friend noticed my cylinder airmass in my logs went up a bit since the fix.

I assume more velocity through the intake ports since it's not sucking in oil/pcv air through the intake rocker bolts?

We replaced all plugs, too.

Also ordered a Stage II ProCharger D1X kit since I decided to keep the car.

Should be interesting.....
