The ones that matter are the side markers, as far as I know...

Technically yes, they are to be red and seen for so many feet at an angle.

In reality, no

I mean I had a couple cops behind me already and they didn't seem to care but I see most cars don't even have rear reflectors

White reflectors are probably ok...as long as any rear brake or running lights are red....Good luck.

Federal law, and the law most states follow, require an X amount of square inches to be reflective from the rear. It can be done within the lights or with separate lenses like the Camaro.

Many taillights have reflectors built within the lens whereas on the Camaro and some other cars they are a separate element.

Actually, on this Subaru, look low on the bumper in the black area you will notice the required by US law SAE red reflector. All vehicles with clear taillights will have OEM red reflectors somewhere on the rear.

In general, there must be reflectors at the side and rear of the car. The front must be yellow or orange. The rear must be red. If a cars tailights have red reflectors (at the rear), any other rear reflector can be whatever. The side reflectors can be incorporated into the tail/head lights or separate.

That Subaru WRX has red side reflectors incorporated into the tail lights but not in the rear, requiring the red reflectors at the bottom of the rear fascia.

So, if the OP's Camaro has red reflectors incorporated into the stock rear tail-lights, then the white reflectors he put in the diffuser should be ok..

The important law that I recall is when you look at the car from the side, you need to see Ellie reflector at the front and red at the rear. It doesn’t HAVE to be in the light
Housing. My 19 taillights have no side reflectors, it’s on the bumper.

Yeah I'm not worried about it really unless I get hit while my car is off with no lights which I doubt will happen
