Now it's starting to come out with 900+ RWHP ZR1s literally everywhere. I think it has something to do with a horribly slow aftermarket support network for the 6th gen ZL1. Leading people to call their favorite HP shops and take care of it on their own.

Well, it's that but most people keep their builds to themselves so they can go out and sand bag everyone. haha. From now on, nobody will know my new power #'s. I have too many people calling me out to run in Mexico so. Once I get my car back, it's back to tuning, hopefully I hit my HP goals and I can get back to saucing folks.

I see that as a big problem in the long term, as it could lead to slippage or even weird things with the trans adaptations as some others mentioned.

That's a good explanation. But, I always go back to before the HP TCM tune. It was fine b4. Of course, I only ran in Mexico and never on the track. Car was on point. That is why I do roll racing. It's less work on the trans. I hate doing digs because I know I'm running too my HP to take the hit on a dig and it would be a matter of time. Roll racing just keeps it under less stress. The way we had it, it was the perfect roll race machine. I'm just gonna get back to that and screw the track. I only went to the track to get a #. Now, I don't care if I dial in a # at the track. I know what it can run with my power so as long as I gap people on the street, that is all I care about.

I’m with you, as I’m just speculating on what’s going on. You were obviously already on the right track by getting that other TCM to tune. That would be awesome if it’s just an adaptation thing that a re-learn will fix. Then you can tune it and probably be good.

I just wanted people to understand how this was working. If you’re (your tune I mean) lying to the transmission about torque output, the line pressures and such probably aren’t going to be where they should when you’re beating on it. Let’s all hope it wasn’t a hardware failure.

Keep us posted.

I will. I'm dropping off to the dealership on Monday. In the meantime, I've already ordered my basic bolt on mods for my GT350. I knew I couldn't keep it stock. haha.

Wow! I have to say this is hurting a bit. Your car was becoming a ZL1 legend. Why the change? I think the Gt350 is a great car but damn to get rid of the Z after making so much power and not really enjoying it.

At any rate good luck with the sale and also the build on the 350. I’m sure some of us would be curious as to what you do with the 350 so I say keep up posted even if this is a camaro forum.

A legend? Shit. It fell on it's face at the track. I should of never went honestly.
And was only good at saucing folks in Mexico. Besides, those that know me know I only keep a car year tops. Just one of those things. The 350 is next, then maybe another GTR. Who knows.

I mean I get it, but it's just another car. The 350 should get me through 2019 and by this time next year, I'll add another car. My wife wants me to get a Bentley. One of these days I'll stop and just get a car and leave it stock for a change.

I'm gonna slow up on that a bit too. Cops have locked up this side of Mexico so. For now, it's just wait on the Zl1 to get out the shop. I've spent my time doing light mods on the 350 for now. My life is weird. Since I don't work, I'm usually bored............and when I get really bored, I build my cars. Then I hit the streets. Then I get tired, stop going out. Get back online, play the market some more............make more $. Spend it. But another car. Build it. More racing. Get tired, sell it. Get bored again, build a business. Sell it. Buy another car, build it. Race it. Get bored again............repeat. haha.

Yep, they just called me. All clutch plates are trashed and the torque converter. Complete rebuild coming up.
