Apologies if this is a repost.

With all this remanufacturing, you have to wonder just how much this adds to the final cost to the new owner. Why can't GM just produce a right hand wheel from the factory?

Yeah this is why the HSV RHD Camaro costs $85,990 while the RHD Mustang costs $68,210 in Australia

My guess is little business case to do so - Britain, Australia and Japan.

Unfortunately, the business case is barely there for the left hand drive version, let alone a right hand drive. Somehow it must have made sense for Ford to justify putting resources on it.

Ford wanted to and went full-fledge global sales.

Chevy pretty much just went to Europe.

Also Chevy has one dealer in the UK. Yeah you heard that right, one friggin dealer for the whole country. You can imagine how many sales they expect. And recently it seems like they also cut their european staff, so it's unsure if Chevrolet will stay in europe at all (there has still been no announcement of the Camaro refresh for europe, you can right now only buy the last 2018 models they stored)

But Mustang raised from nothing to one of the best selling sportscars in europe since the launch in 2015, so I'm pretty sure there are enough customers that are looking for such cars, but Chevy had just no interest into really investing in europe
