I recently had the flush done on the wife's ride. The dealership knew nothing of the Q1 Fix. Although I "enlightened" them. I tend to do that .

They told me that if the shudder comes back, to bring it back and they will replace the TC.

When the Q1 2019 fix is released, I'm gonna push for a TC and the reflash. I feel the current TC has to have some wear if not damage.

Sadly i’ll have to wait untill april/may to have it performed, she’s asleep for the winter. But that should mean it’s guaranteed to be ready to apply when i roll out again.

This is very good news. Every time I drive my car I fear the issue will return. Maybe they will also fix the 1 to 2 shift problem with the flash.

I think this is an LT1 issue. 1st to 2nd gear can be touchy in my M6 and I can confirm the same in the C7 stingray with a M7.

But probably will make it easier for the A8 when shifting.

Just curious before I start a dealership discussion. Thanks.
They are specific to the GM A8. The Jeep A8 was designed and engineered by ZF and built either by ZF in their S. Carolina plant or by FCA under license from ZF at FCA’s Indiana plant.

GM designs, engineers, and manufactures their own transmissions and most of their torque converters. I’m not 100% certain, but I believe they make their own TC for the A8.

Appreciate the info. Wasn’t sure but I figured it was worth asking.

Thanks.

Are you referring to the graphic/etc on the left side? That’s called an Avatar. Go to the top of the page and click “User CP”. Down the left side of the page there will be several options, one will be “Edit Avatar”. It’s usually a pic/graphic. Same goes for the signature graphic/text below. Hope this helps.

Uhm, yeah. THAT’S what it is. Special permission will be needed.......

I’M KIDDING!!

Pretty much whatever you want, within reason of course. There are some size limitations. Most of use have something F1FTY related.
