I'd certainly be taking that picture into that dealer if I wanted to get a huge discount on one. I see snow on them, but salt? Are they sprinkling salt from the sky over there?

The salt has been splattered on them from the grey slush kicked up off the road as cars drive by.

Not a big deal.

Mine was out in the dealer lot through the summer in Florida before I bought it, in the rain and the hot sun and was filthy with water spots on it etc..

They had a detailer come in and it was nicer then it came of the assembly line when they were done with it.

Same will happen for these cars when they are sold.

Just about everyone of those sets of tires are ruined for any type of track use.

this is why I always order custom built cars so dealerships don't have a chance to damage them in new and inventive ways

Those cars are fine. My ZL1 has been in a handful of snow storms and has been damn near covered in snow. It's been in sub-zero temps. Rain. Sleet. You name it. I even drove mine in snow and PDR'd the entire event. Got stuck in the parking lot across the street from my job. And it is just fine. These cars are not prissy wussy diva sweet 16 type cars made for wimps. They can take abuse. And this hardly qualifies as abuse. Most likely they were cleared off either that day or the next day or as soon as the snow cleared. They'll be perfectly fine for purchase and hard driving. Look at it this way, those tires have been subjected to extreme temps already before and after being installed on those cars.

Nothing a little automatic car wash to scratch and swirl the paint can't handle.

Of course they are fine and can be cleaned up. 2 local dealers, identical cars, selling same price. 1LE’s parked in the back lot with only snow covering or 1LE’s that received plowed snow mixed with salt and salt mist from daily traffic passing. I know where I would purchase if pulling the trigger. There was a post here in the past of seeing some aluminum parts on these cars and how the salt impacted the appearance during last winters deliveries. What an owner does with a vehicle after the purchase is up to them. Of course I would buy one, just gonna need more meat off the bone to sweeten the deal.

Yeah right. But only after the salesman or porter rubs in some of the road grit with the snow brush they use to clean the snow off.
