Simple answer is yes, your rpms will shoot up with no movement. Stock tires have bad grip in cool weather and horrible grip in cold weather. Teach yourself how to limit the spinning of the tires with the throttle pedal.

RPM and speed will go up with tire spin.... Clutch slip, only RPM will go up.... It doesn't matter what your driving.
