I think the other guy you quoted was referencing swapping out the white ball upper stick for the stock knob upper stick only - he already had the hurst shifter installed. The upper stick can be installed from above. However, the entire shifter requires the exhaust and driveshaft to be removed and the transmission lowered ~3" in order to remove the old shifter and install the new one. Oh okay that makes sense. I would love to install one of these but that just seems like soo much work for the 40% reduction i want I will put it off for awhile and maybe ill cave and do it eventually.
