No problem, that's why I'm here! I "daily" my 6th gen every few weeks when it's nice weather out. It has long tubes, full 3" exhaust, no cats, Corsa Sport mufflers. It has no drone, and it is really not that loud until you kick down on it. With the exhaust being out the back (something not normal for me) it is still not really loud in the car. You can talk, listen to the radio, etc... with no trouble at all.

I have catless 1 7/8th headers with 3" system back to NPP. I daily drive my car and I have zero issue with anything being too loud. In fact, it is extremely tame once the NPP valves close. Since you will be tuning anyway you could always change when the valves open or close or even drive in tour/stealth unless really romping on it.
I plan to mess with the NPP valve open vs close this weekend and the "rumble" start as well. It will be nice to be able to put the car in tour rather than stealth to have a quiet startup in the mornings. Neighbors don't like loud at 530am haha. I have the Speed Engineering headers and piping. Apparently they have several fitment issues, but nothing that can't be overcome. I have zero issues with the steering shaft on mine. I have heard Kooks are great and heard TSP is about the same as SE in the way of fitment issues...they both come from China. As for power, I have no issue putting out 607 WHP on the 1 7/8ths and no real plans to push the platform past this power level. I'm sure others will chime in, but 2" really isn't necessary to my knowledge until 700+. Since we are talking 5-10 hp difference or possible loss I would say get them if you ever plan to need them...better to install once. I would have purchased the 2" but SE didn't have them out yet. Anyway, have fun with the car and use the tuning for NPP valves to your advantage here. |

Tsp has resolved the clearance issue with there headers. I highly recommend them.

We ONLY use KOOKS and ARH headers here in our builds FWIW! They both offer a quality product. KOOKs has changed their design slightly since the release of the 6th Gen Camaro and has an excellent fitment and seems to be our most popular item. Feel free to reach out to our Sales Manager at Robert@VengeanceRacing.net or 678-513-7105 ext 2 and we can assist you with a set for your car. We are happy to help.

I don't know how much the BBKs make but they fit as good as any header I've ever had, plenty of spark plug clearance, we slid them in from the top, they line up perfectly to connector pipes to the cats and are half the price of most of the other brands being discussed. Got them from Ricardo at Phastek. Very happy with the coating, great value in my opinion.

I have the TSP 2 inch headers and the only issue I have with them is the nut on the back of the steering shaft taps the primary ever so slightly from time to time. Isn't a huge issue and this weekend I am going to look and see if I can just grind that down a millimeter or two and that should fix it. Other than that they fit very nicely and were less than $600.
