I finally got it...

Hi guys,

After 3 years now of dreaming of owning a Camaro, I finally got her last Saturday. Traded my '16 WRX for a '18 SS 1LE. So far this car has been everything I had hoped it would be, it's not even in the same league as my previous car.

My original plan was to factory order a '19, but I came across a brand new '18 in the color I wanted and I prefer the front end design of the '18 to the '19 so I couldn't pass it up. Chevy has done a phenomenal job with this car, going from a small displacement 4cyl turbo to a monster V8 is like night and day, this thing has power on tap at all times and it handles amazingly. I know im preaching to the choir here but damn the 6th gen is good.

Congratulations on your new car! I recently came from a Subaru myself (BRZ). It is definitely quite the upgrade for you and I, the SS 1LE is better in every way!

How did you like the BRZ ? I never drove one but I always thought they were cool looking cars. How does the handling of the SS compare? I know for sure it handles better than my WRX, way less body roll, but the WRX is a heavier car than the BRZ.

Congrats. Really in fairness you won't get maximum performance out of it until I scrub the tires in for you. I do that at no cost.

Congratulations! You got the best of all the choices and combinations available out there right now- between Camaro and Mustang. SS, 1LE and manual transmission. A track monster. Really great choice getting the manual too versus auto. Your car is exactly what I would get if I were buying right now and I had the money. You got my favorite color combo too! What an upgrade from a WRX too- I also had a 2016 WRX- I had it with my 2017 Camaro RS. I got rid of the Camaro because of the A8 and I cashed in on my WRX for a Fiesta ST- my retirement commuter car. And I traded my ailing C4 Corvette and the Camaro that was stuck in the shop too much for my current base Mustang GT. It's no where near a 1LE or even an SS but I just could not afford a 1LE and it was very cheap. But at least I got a V8 manual that I can row the gears and so far it works, shifts and drives as it should,
