Do I have the TC problem?

Hi Everyone, I am a newbie to the site but have seen a lot of really good information. I think I have the problem but I want to confirm. Car is a 2016 with 12.5K miles.

- At ~60mph going slightly uphill in what I believe is eighth gear I see the tachometer wavering a bit at ~1.5KRPM like it thinks it wants to shift down.

- When Active Fuel management kicks on a level road or a very, very slight incline at highway speed (<55mph) I feel a vibration like the so called rumble strip description. At lower speeds (>45mph) AFM may kick in but it is not as apparent (the rumble strips that is).

Is this consistent with the TC problem I've been reading about? I was told in the past that the AFM rumble strips effect was a lag effect and not a problem. Could I of had the TC problem all along and not known it?

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately not really a party I want to be at, but we are all stuck here until a fix next year...hopefully!

Doesn't take that long. Dropped mine off yesterday afternoon so it would be cool for the tech this AM. BIL called me at 1130 said they were out test driving it.

It also had a squealing at start up but only does it after it has sat for over 8 hours. This is the second time for this but they can never duplicate it. I am going to take a video so there is no question the next time.

Got my car back. Much better. Will see how it goes. There is no fix until January. If it does it again, another flush till the new fix comes out. Tech that did my car has been a transmission guy for GM for 33 years. He told me the problem is the programming in the TCM. He said all this other bandaid shit isn't going to fix anything and they know it.

Had the flush done and picked it up today. Feels better but only time will tell what happens. Hopefully they come up with a permanent fix like the all mighty software update that works or they can start putting new transmissions in mine. Because of a dealership oopsie on their part my Powertrain warranty is pushed out to 6 years and 120,000 miles. Hope they get this straightened out soon!

This should be a poll thread. I'm interested in what the percentage of users are who have this problem.

I agree. I would like to see some number on how many were affected.
