As the title states, I’m planning on buying an SS 1lE pretty soon. However I’m not a huge fan of the way the 2019s look. Ideally I wanted to wait until mid next year to buy but at this point I’m considering moving faster to get a 2018 instead of a 2019. Would I have until the end of the calander year to factory order one?

Factory orders for a 2018 ended like 5 months ago. You're only option for an 18 would be to find one on a lot.

Go to cars.com and do a search. There are hundreds of 1SS and 2SS and some LE1s marked down anywhere from 3k-10k. Maybe that much off would get you in one sooner.

there's 2018s on lots right now. if you live near a big city i'm sure there's several Chevrolet dealers with a variety of SS's .

There are plenty 2018 1LEs out there brand new sitting in showrooms. I just got mine 2 weeks ago with 8 miles on it. 2018 1LE cause i hated the new look. Sticker was 47 got it for 38k

Automakers don't use calendar year as breakpoints for model year. Commonly it's late summer for the MY changeover, but it of course varies depending on content change, generation change, etc.

There are plenty of 2018's in inventory, +1 cars.com to find what you want. I just checked and it's 131 MY2018's advertised on that site alone.

It doesn’t have some of the little interior stuff I wanted to add from the factory but I do like the color, nightfall gray. If they are willing to move those 18s bad enough to come off the price like that I might not be able to pass it up

It will come down to if you want a SS 1Le bad enough ,there will always be deals on the SS 1Le just may not be the color you want ,they are going away . I can tell you that the SS 1Le is worth the sticker price, but money off is a plus and helps if you want add ons later .

If you go on the Chevy website and start a chat with an inventory specialist they can look up what dealers within so many miles of you have for 1le stock. Then you can pick from what they have. I can tell you there are a few NFG 2SS 1le's out on the left coast. A few in Cali, Arizona and Idaho I think was the other one, and there's one in Texas as of a couple weeks ago. I was searching for the same car a few weeks ago but on the east coast. Bought the last NFG 2ss 1le w/o a sunroof on the east coast 2 weeks ago.

I was the same as you, wanted an 18 because I'm just not feeling the 19.
