Regular ZL1 here, Engine Sound Management, Suspension and Steering can be configured separately.

However, throttle mapping and auto transmission shift mode cannot be configured separately. Which if available separately will be ideal.

That's one thing I miss from my M3. Press of one button to quickly change the car's personality.

They can with the update released late last year/early 2018 - and that update can be put on any C7, right to the first 2014s.

Having been in both a 3ZR Z06 w/comp seats (Alcantara surfaces) and a ZL1 1LE, neither stands out as being nicer, or better materials. I like both, but do prefer the Camaro gauges.

I have a little one on the way, so the Camaro is the forerunner to replace my old GS. Still debating on ZL1 or ZL1 1LE.

If my daughter gets too big for the back seat, then its time for a new car

I have a two year old, almost three. She loves to ride in the back seat of the "Maro". I purchased a seat protector for her car seat to try and help create a shield between the seat and her car seat base. Her seat eats up the entire back pocket of the car on that side and her little legs touch the passenger seat back. It would be much easier if she were big enough to be in a booster seat instead of a full blown car seat.

The ZL1 isn't my daily but all said, I agree the back seat is near worthless BUT it allowed me to get behind the wheel of an LT4 and still be a family man. I'll take it.

One last thing... I'm the same guy who, a few years ago, questioned why any car manufacture would put car seat latch points in a sports car. Today I get pissed if they aren't there and not the correct type. Life...

I have a ZL1, so I’m very familiar with how they work. My question was if the C7 was different.

For me, the shift modes and throttle mapping aren’t a big deal. I guess it would be cool to have the sport throttle with the PTM modes from track. But in the end, no biggie.

Now that’s what I wanted to know. Having the settings all tied to the modes would be pretty annoying.

Agreed, it is much nicer to be able to adjust each setting to your taste. I know a few C7 owners who got the update and are much happier with their car now.

BTW, the car seat fits perfect in the middle of the back seat. I use a padded gym type mat I got from Harbor freight. Then set car seat on that and use the inside LATCH clips on the car. Then they have room for their legs. And someone can still ride shotgun too.

We are probably veering a little far off the OP's original topic but does the middle seat have the latch point in the back dash for the upper anchor? The left and right locations have a little cover that pops up and exposes the metal latch point. Not sure about the middle?

There is not an upper attachment point that I remember seeing. I normally don't use it. Just tighten the heck out of the ones that anchor down to the seat cushion.
