Yokohama ADVAN Sport V105

Walmart didn't ship any of my 305/30R19 MPSS tires I ordered at $240 tire.

I'm thinking of trying 295/30R19Yokohama ADVAN Sport V105
This tire any good for daily driving abuse around town?

This tire came out in 2013. Find a newer tire.

If they are anything like the Yokohama Advan Sport A/S, run. My mother in law put them on her 2016 Mazda6 and the handling went to crap so bad, she traded it. I told her not to install them. A friend has them on his Chevy SS and hates them. I'd recommend the Conti Conti Extreme Contact Sport if you're looking to not spend Michelin $$$. I really like my 4S's though.

I just received a set in the mail. Looks like a performance tire with low sidewall for a 30 series tire. Tread width looks good measuring about 11.25 inches. I read on bimmer forums that some ppl liked these better than MPSS and Continental tires. Yeah 5 years old but they were on sale!

Well he did say DD around town....like the Bimmers do and Honda Accords and Toyotas.
It is a sporty tire, probably comfy and quiet. Nothing wrong with that.

But a heavy high horsepower performance car needs a better tire to control it.

This tire is pretty good. If you can find them for $160 each, buy them. Little noisy but they track straight... I suspect I turned my wheel inside the tires on a rolling launch... they don't always break loose warmed up... stock zl1 A10.

Tire Rack's tests of this tire put it on par with the Michelin PSS in the dry, little better in the wet. I would argue that's probably in the range of the Goodyears that come on the car from the factory. However, the feedback I've heard have not been as good.

There are a some cars that come with these tires from the factory. Off the top of my head the base Mazda MX-5/Fiat 124 and the Nissan 370Z. The magazine tests of these cars showed lower performance than with the tires found on the higher-spec models.

Manufacturers spec is not always the same as off the shelf tires

Nissan for example could have asked for longer tread life = less traction...and they want the lowest price
