The black SS 1LE is very livable. It really goes to show that they needed to paint the center part body color. I would be willing to bet that will be some of the first mods we will see with this car.

The more black GM keeps putting on it, I think sales will drop more & more.
Can't wait until the black fad it gone...

??

All grilles are black or silver chrome. And grilles are getting bigger in size, it's a current trend in the auto industry but also for better air flow. As for the middle of the grill, not sure if that piece is there to cut cost or it's just the design modeled after the transformers concept.

They did change some things, added LED head lights as opposed to previous HID's, also the new tail lights. New hood with the Corvette heat extractor, new rear view mirror camera(in 2SS), satin black rear diffuser, revised infotainment system, and so on.

By the way the stock wheels are not black, this is the stock form(silver painted aluminum):

Also another set of silver painted aluminum wheels as an option:

The 1LE versions look decent...but I always assumed that would be the case. Those dark accents and sexy wheels could make most cars look good.

I've said it before, I'll say it again....just a couple very minor changes on the front end could have made the 2019 so, so good.

Black looks good! Those cheek flaps dont stand out and everything meshes well. Looks nice.

That front license plate looks horrible on the SS a couple pages back. I'd be pi$$ed if a dealer installed that. Let the buyer figure it out.

Get what you want brother, I've seen the car in person many times and I love it. Color choice is a tough one, because I actually like these colors more than the last one. I do wonder, however, how'd it look in yellow. But'd I go with that orange crush with stripes or blue/black.

I finally got to see new ‘19s parked in a line with several ‘18s, so I could compare them side-by-side. Sorry, but there’s no getting around it - the ‘19s are not good-looking cars.

The front-end designs are overly complicated, with DRLs that just seem to stop in the middle of nowhere, odd painted and/or black shapes all over the place and a bowtie position that looks like an afterthought. (Maybe it’s supposed to be hidden behind the license plate.) From the back, the taillights look like safety goggles (or Minion eyes) that were chosen because they fit the same sheetmetal cutouts used for the ‘16-‘18 taillights. (Usually the Minions make me laugh, but not here.)

I hope Chevy has an update ready for the ‘20 models, because IMHO these ugly suckers are not going to gain sales against the Challengers and Mustangs. The ‘19 Camaro we thought would be headed for our garage is not going to happen.

I would remove the chevy front emblem or paint it black on the SS. It looks like a cheap out of place add on.

I'm very curious can't wait to see the performance and to hear about the reliability of the new A10 automatic transmission. I hope that is as good as the one on the ZL1. GM' A8 transmission was a big disappointment.

I keep hearing people say this, but I keep wondering how they intend to handle the hole in the crossbar that would be left as a result. Or is the plan to place something in front of it to block the view of the flow-tie?
