Got baseline time
Bone stock A8. Have an Injen Evo7300 CAI in the box in my garage. After install plan on getting a tune and see what improvement I can get. Had rpm at 2500 at launch. Some wheel spin. Temp was 59F. All Season F1 Eagles. 32 psi. Pretty pleased with the time. Haven’t even made a payment yet. First try - didn’t have the timer set. Second try - a lot of wheel spin and a time of 6.2. Third try -

Meant to throw this here. 86.5% ethanol. Flex tuned. Bone stock otherwise. Was about 72', dropped rear psi on the 20's down to 22lbs.

Nice! Nice to see that P3 gauge is accurate on a car that's timer doesn't start counting as soon as your breathe on the gas pedal before you even start to move like mine.

Question for you guys on this timer as the ATS obviously doesn't have it. I see allot of mid to high 4sec 0-60's. But when I look at the time slips I see allot of 2.0-2.2 60' times. Sorry but this isn't adding up here, if the car can get mid4's on the street then why is the 60' so bad at the track? I hook the same at the track or street thanks to AWD. I pull 1.7x 60's and the best 0-60 on my hptuners i've had is 4.7. My 1/8th was 8.3 and 1/4 was 13.03. Not trying to start a war, just questioning the validity of these factory timers.

Actually a 2.0 60' falls right in line with mid 4's. 2.0 second 60' time = 40.9 mph @60' = 5.2 second 0-60 time 1.9 second 60' time = 43.0 mph @60' = 4.6 second 0-60 time 1.8 second 60' time = 45.5 mph @60' = 4.0 second 0-60 time But, you can't assume constant acceleration over 60' or 0-60. Strictly math based, your 1.7 60' would yield a 3.5 or better 0-60. But it does not. At the track, distance is measured. These timers do not measure distance, only time and speed. With that said, I actually find the timer in my car to be very accurate.

I ran a 1.77 60' one time... And ran a 3.8sec 0-60 one time... Coincidence. Probably. But I like your math!

, coincidence,.....Maybe...While there is no "perfect" formula for these things, (Too many variables) the math is very close, and would represent a near-perfect run, with roughly a 12.7% DT loss. Its based around the fact that 1 MPH is about 1.47 ft/sec. Smarter guys than me use formulas to figure acceleration, velocity, distance, time ect. to come up with "approximate" data. Its not an exact science, but those times and yours are totally possible.

2017, A8 RS, Mods: Intake, downpipe, exhaust, intercooler, tune, S3 cams, BC coilovers, and stock tires. Once we get the TCM tuned and some good tires I'm guessing low 4s.

Damn... I've consistently been running 4.8-5.0 and all I have is an intake, down pipe and charge pipe with cheap performance tires. I would say let's attribute this to the tires but they are still slidey ass all hell on the track.

Sorry, I initially missed your post. I'm all about the numbers (trade curse) I have the same data in EFILive. I would not have posted my time if I felt it was in-accurate. Granted, my 4.6 was a hero run, as I have not hit that again.. Yet.. 8.5 - 3.9 = 4.6
