I ran the Re71R's and they were a fantastic tire and they qualify for 200TW for SCCA.
If this is going to be your only set id strongly look at the PS4's over the PS2's. The PS4's are a nice upgrade over the older super sport but will still give you great manners in the rain / damp weather. That was one of the things I loved about the Potenza's was I rain I ran them at T-Hill in the rain and had great traction. I'm going PS4's for street and I've got a set of BC forged for track what I'm sticking to Toyo's on. I'm running the exact Zl1 1le fitment so tire selection is a bit limited. I really wish they made the Re71r's in a 19/325! |

New street ultra summers are as fast if not faster (this includes G3s imo based on testing) and NT01s dont come in sizes to fit stock rims.

Do they sustain heat cycling as great as NT01 though? IMO the virtue of NT01 is not about how fast it is, rather how reliable it is through its life cycle. Maybe tires are very fast at new, but heat cycled out at track pace pretty quickly though.

To give you an idea how good G3s are, i am faster in my 1le vs my previous C5Z Vette track car with the same power and 750lb less weight on BFG R1 rubber. Everywhere ive run thus far except for Mosport - as it is an HP track. But my mid corner pace is the same. Blows me away! And i am yet to understeer in this car. If anything the rear will give up before the front does. But one has to over drive it. No question that 1le overall balance plays a big role here and as Randy Pobst said about a gen6 Camaro: "this car makes me a better driver". But the tires are something special as well imo and are easily on par with RE71R or Cup2s. In my hands anyway. And for the price nothing comes remotely close. The same virtue as the car even if you double the price

i have to admit I've tried many tires and the stockers really shocked me how well they grip.

I’m on NT01’s. Great track day hero but would not run them on the street. They are horrendous in standing water, to the point i bring my stocks with me as a rain set.

I will say that -2.2 is not enough as you get faster, i chewed up my outer edges of the stock g3’s quite quickly. I wish they either had more factory cancer adjustment, or offered a GM camber plate that would not void warranty. |

2.2 is completely inadequate. If I were you I'd find another shop and get more camber asap. There was a thread here somehwere recently on this subject and it contained an explanation how to max the camber on stock set up without any mods. |

I am going from factory settings to the track alignment next week. Between that and the solid cradle bushings, I am expecting a decent change in grip , turn-in , and rear-end stability.
