Sure some say screw it and make it work but that isn't necessarily the majority.
I guess I'm probably one of the few that would never understand the 'it's not a daily driver' argument.

Unless I need to go to Home Depot and pick up a sheet of plywood or have a family of 4 I need to cart around everyday, I can't see anything about this car that's a compromise as a daily driver for a single person, or couple, to go to work and back or putt around town.

This car begs to be driven every minute of the day. Right now, I can't wait for 5pm to hop in it. If I can't feel this for a sports car that cost 35-40k, I'm not buying it, period.

Don't understand this at all.

I had Mustang's previously. I could keep my golf clubs, golf shoes and my softball bag shoes and bat in my trunk all summer long in the Mustang and have room to pick up a buddy and his stuff. Can't do that in the camaro. Why is that important to me, a lot of times I would have to go right from work to either pick someone up, or go right to the field or right to the golf course.

Try driving it when it 10 degrees in a heavy snow storm with 6 inches already on the ground in the dead of winter .

An extreme case and most cars wouldn't work this situation either. Not sure what the point is here. My advice? Move.

The Camaro's seat fold down. Golf clubs, bags, and shoes should fit in there no problem. What does your buddy's 'stuff' consist of?

I do it. Not a problem with winter tires. Having the air density at -4500 does make the engine WAY more powerful however so I must use restraint.

Drive um

The compromise is I didn't have to do that in the Mustang. Buddies stuff would normally consist of the same stuff. What if I am picking up more than 1 person? Now I know that wouldn't fly for golf but if it's my turn to drive and I got to get my stuff out of the trunk when in this cars direct competitor I didn't have to do that. I could conveniently leave my stuff in my trunk and not worry about it.

Now this is just the paranoid in me, but having to have the seats folded down means people can peak in and see what your hauling around.

Been done many times by many drivers. Put the right equipment on it and it'll be livable. It's not ideal but it's not like everyone drove AWD subies or cars chock full with driving aides in the 80's 70's, 60's, 50's. Put the correct tires on, stick it in S&I mode, and maybe some weight in the trunk and be on your way. Grew up in MA driving a 2nd gen and 3rd gen in all weather. It's very doable assuming you don't turn into a snowplow.

For me, even your scenario would be too little of a compromise to not buy the car I want to drive.

As for seeing inside, it's tough to see back there in the Camaro through the side windows. The seats will partially block the view, and tint would make it even harder. Plus, the windows are narrow.

Fiat is giving people what they want with an old design. I don't care two shits about how well a car goes around a road course ,and I'm not alone. It means nothing going down the highway on a Sunday afternoon. Fiat figured this out. I drove cars from the 60's, 70's. You want to talk about handling? Lol

These cars today are all good. Guys like you make it sound like sending anything other than a Camaro off into a corner will mean instant death. That just isn't so.
A road course is a standard of how every car is tested , and for good reason.
Fiat's only choice is to keep trying to up the HP and reel the people in by showing there cars doing smokey burnouts , that won't catch me i see them in a different light . Putting 700 HP in a car that exceeds its handling capabilities very quickly is senseless to me . And if people want to put there children in these cars and fill it beach chairs and coolers then get on a highway traveling at 80 MPH ,all i can say is good luck .

What's up with that, GM?
I'm just running into that also. Was thinking about trading up from my 17 2ss but so far no allocation from a dealer that just sold my buddy a Z06.

I'm not saying it can't be done I'm saying it would be stupid . I see it every winter here with cars blocking roads up , i have had a usual 20 minute trip turn into 3 hours because people can't make a smart decision on what to drive . I drive a 20 year old Blazer that loves snow and if someone slides sideways into, oh well at least it wasn't the Camaro .
