Bad paintjob?

Hi

I bought my 2018 Camaro 2SS convertible for about three weeks ago and when I picked it up I noticed these spots/marks on the front and on the tailgate, and I thought it was just something I could wash of later. Has anyone in here seen these before? I can feel it with my finger, looks like faulty clearcoat or something?

I have talked to the dealership and the car is there now and they are gonna have a look in it tomorrow, but I wanted to get some more info from you, cause maybe they just want to repaint some parts of the car. I don't think I will agree to that, in that case they'll better paint the whole car.

Thanks.

Take it to a detailer and get a three step detail. The dealership won't get it out for you.

Yes, I have, no improvement what so ever..

The dealership has their own detailer(the same detailer that did the car before I picked it up) and by the pictures I sent them they thought it may have to be repainted. I'm almost wondering if they recognize the faulty paint.

OH, they detailed it, then its on them and that "detailer" needs to take care of it. Don't take car back until its fixed to your satisfaction.

Never let the dealership detail your car for any reason . Looks like the clear coat is etched for sure not faulty paint and i doubt it came form the factory that way . Going to be interesting.

Hey guys, I got it back from the paint company today(the detailer didn't manage to do anything) and they made it all go away with some serious asswoopin' rubbing and polishing. They kept it for three whole days.

Looks really good from what I can see now. I'm going to wash it and dry it this weekend and really go over the whole car, just to be sure.

Thanks for the input.

I was gonna say, that is totally fixable with either some serious polishing and elbow grease or at worst a light wet sand and then a re-polish back out.
