If the dealership told you that then it is likely fine it means they aren't going to bring it up in any discussions with GM I suspect.

Everything seems to be ok. Dealers allowing me to remove the catch can tomorrow before they open The engine.

Great to hear! Yeah sometimes GM will send someone to look at the car or ask for photos before a motor job or anything big gone wrong & the can could give them an out like saying it affected how the car pumps oil through the motor or some such BS.

This is the safe route for you to go no doubt.

Good to hear. IIRC the fellow who had is denied said that GM had requested photos of the engine compartment. That's when GM sent back their decision. It sounds like your dealer isn't that far along.

On a side note it sounds like you have one of the better dealers. There's been some horror stories lately.

5 and 6 were spun beyond fixing. They ordered new parts and should have the car back by Friday
