Dual Mode Exhaust ... Seems underwhelming?

I don't know ...I was expecting a much different level of sound between Tour, Sport and Track but I can't really notice any difference at all.

I know I turned on the engine management in the settings that was supposed to change the exhaust based on the mode selected ... But it really doesn't seem to make a difference

Anyone else experience this? Or was I just hoping for too much of a noticeable difference?

That's the problem ... I dont notice a thing different. Wonder if I've set or not set something wrong (ive only had the car about 2 weeks of driving so it's highly likely I'm missing something)

Did you go through the settings in the "mylink" or were you just using the switch on the center console? Someone before you might have set it to stealth or touring in the mylink settings. If so, it won't change via the switch on the center console until you switch the settings back to auto. I have mine set on track so it's always louder even if I decide to put the suspension on touring.

i agreewith the others, if you cannot hear a difference when its in tour, then something is amiss. are you 1st owner? if not maybe the previous owner pulled fuse 51, this of course would keep it in its loudest mode regardless of selection in settings.

First owner less than 400km so far and still on the dealers tank of gas.

I went and played with it in the garage ... Once I figured out where it needed to be for Stealth mode I noticed that ... Then did notice a small difference between tour and sport. I guess it just isn't as noticable when driving, even with the top down.

Wish there was some way to get stealth exhaust in tour mode (but leave the others alone) ... Seems that GM left a lot of potential customizations out of the software (info screens etc.) Maybe someday they'll give us a bit more control with a software upgrade.

The obnoxious exhaust should make you grin from ear to ear, with top down on your way cool HotWheels with 6.2 and dual mode exhaust. At start up it should growl like friggin lion.
I would have your dealer look at it... maybe the exhaust cut out valve is stuck closed.

Go to Mylink > Settings > Driving Mode > Engine sound management > Stealth.
It will be stealth all the time, regardless of the main car mode setting. Then you can put the car in Tour (or whatever mode you like).

I just rented a Camaro SS without the NPP and wow, what a difference. There's also a very noticeable difference between Tour and Sport, but Stealth will change that during startup. My neighbor complained about my car before, and the exhaust is just like the factory built it.

Yep made this mistake for first week too. Set it to stealth and forgot I changed the setting. I then changed setting to track while visiting a friend house. First words out his mouth was when did you get the exhaust put on, I heard you back in from inside the house!

I guess I’m going to have to check into my settings too! I do notice a difference when switching from tour to sport, but it is and always has been very minimal. I’ve had the car for nearly 2 years now, but have never been impressed with any good “growl” unless i was WOT!!! Which is why I have a full Stainless Works exhaust with headers waiting to be installed!!!

The start up is loud, but it’s the same loud no matter what mode it’s in. I certainly don’t get obnoxiously loud in any mode when driving. Your right there may be an issue as I remember the test drive car having way more noticeable rumble in track mode.

Maybe I’m just not driving it aggressively enough to get engine roar sounds ... but I’m sure the kids in their Mazda’s and Toyota’s are getting more rumble than I am, not to mention the local corvettes that I followed home last night.

Stealth and Tour is the same and Sport and Track is the same. The NPP valves are either open or closed.
I have Stainless Works with NPP and I can see the valves in the muffler. Valve closed is Stealth and Tour, Valve open is Sport and Track mode. Im using the same electronics so there is no change in operation of NPP system.
The steering stiffness does change in all four modes as advertised.
