I've used the "Mild to Wild" version for over a year and love it.. I have programmed 2 of the garage door controls for open/closed.. Really love it.

Yeah that's awesome! I would but two of my buttons are used up!

Bringing this thread back. Got my relay and tap all setup, went to install it, and found that I have two issues. The first, is that there is a relay right next to where the tap goes. Does anyone know if I can rotate the tap 180 degrees? The second issue is that all unused sockets do not have the copper connectors like everyone else has pictured for the ground. The only two that have a blade connector are circled in red, but no idea if this is a ground or not.

I pulled the grey relay out, and grounded the black wires to the battery ground connection, and it does work, but won't all fit nicely into the panel like everyone has pictured. :-(

I broke/modified the tap to get by the relay, and ran the ground outside the fuse box. PM me if you want some pics. Been working great for about 6 months, use it almost every day.

Doesnt setting the engine sound mode to "track" (in the vehicle settings) make the exhaust loud all the time? Even If it's in tour. That's why I do on my new 1LE...

Nope they will still close at low rpms. You either need to pull the fuse, have this controller, or if you are tuned you can tune it so they stay open all the time.

Ahh ok..

I guess just that setting keeps it loud enough for me right now

I did have a C6 Z06 awhile back and had the mild2wild mod that let you keep them open all the time. I did notice that after leaving them open for a few days, the sound would begin to wear on me and closing them was actually kind of a relief lol.

You can either control the valves like I do in the video with the included transmitters or program the homelink buttons in the car if you don't want to keep a transmitter lying around in the center console. I used the big ground point right outside the fuse box and put a quick disconnect on it so the whole thing can be removed and returned to stock in about 30 seconds. The fuse box lid snaps on the right side but not on the left due to the two ground wires running out. I did notch the corner of the box there but it looks like the lid will need a little notch as well if I want it to snap down.

I set the car exhaust mode on the touchscreen to stealth and I'll just use this to control whether the valves are opened or closed. When you start the car it does default to open but if you just hold close button down while starting, it immedately closes upon firing and will be quiet.

It cost me about $30 for everything and I think it was well worth it! Here is the how-to guide, a video, and a pic of how I did it:
http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...ob-how-to.html

EDIT: I have since modified mine to be the same as in post #16. Having the ground in the fuse box makes everything so much easier

So my question is, if you do this mod. Then switching the modes like we usually do wont work the valves anymore? The only command will be this new remote?

Stealth starts the car differently than all other modes (keeps valves shut on start up and no rev). So if i have it in stealth the valves will be open unless i keep the buttom to have them closed pressed and they will close AFTER the start up?
Also, if im in track mode with valves open and suddenly change to tour the valves wont close unless i press close button on the remote?

This mod seems cool but then that means while im driving if i want valves open or close i will have to be getting distracted looking/reaching for my keys or wherever i choose to place the remote (keys are always in my pocket).

Honestly, how many times do you really switch from stealth to track on the exhaust setting? I leave it in track all the time. I let the car figure out if it needs to open or close the NPP, based on how I am driving at that particular time. It has yet to do anything other than what I want at that time. Plus with having the Borla 60606 X pipe the sound is just right.

Literally every single day.

Is it still nice and quiet with the X-pipe in stealth? I like the idea of a subtle upgrade.

Stealth for late night arrivals and start ups, long road trips or night outs with the wife.

And 100% open for when drive around with your buddies hooning, mexico visits, etc

Anyone looking for the kit to do this mod? I installed it and it works as described, but I didn't like the fact that it defaults to open at each startup, which requires the remote to set it back to the factory mode. Just looking to get a few bucks back rather than have this sit around, so PM me if interested.
