Comparing a high powered sports car where every moving and supporting part are under much more stress to a family sedan is comparing apples to oranges. A better comparison with be to the Honda Civic Type R. I encourage you to visit civicx.com's problem section to see the myriad of issues ranging from the engine to the body panels and everything in between.

This Camaro forum's membership is huge. If the LT1s were problematic, we'd be seeing a lot more reported problems. Compare it to the smaller Mustang6g and there is stark difference between the amount of engine probelms reported. I'm afraid it's as simple as that.

The LT1s journey from inception hasn't been problem free, that's a fact, however, things have improved quite a bit. 2014 was one of those years things weren't so rosy for the vette's engine, but that was then, this is now. You were probably unlucky to own one of these problem engines.
