High Flow cats

Hey guys,
I swapped my stock cats to high flow cats and then threw an engine light p0420 and p0430 cat efficiency below threshhold. I tried the 02 extender method but even that did not work. I would like to keep the cats but not on the expense of the engine light. What do you guys think I should try.
Thanks

Get HP tuners and turn off the downstream o2's. Or pay for a professional tune, they will disable it for you.

I thought about doing that but wouldnt that void my warranty? High flow cats themselves would not void my warranty but plugging it to HP tuners would if Im not mistaken

So where did you get the high flow cats?

Google Big Daddy's O2 and take a look at what he has to offer in lieu of the regular O2 extenders.

I keep waiting for Solo Performance- https://solo-performance.com/
to come out with a bolt on high flow.

Exceptional quality and zero CEL's in my experience. Also no raw gas smell and good performance boost. Of course, you get what you pay for, so they ain't cheap. But definitely worth it.

They've got the LS3 covered but no LT1 system yet.

How 'bout it Solo?

Those are Solo's he's beta testing. Hopefully Solo will have an offering that doesn't throw codes like they had with the 5th gen. I had them on my 5th gen as well as the Mach-X catback. Quality stuff and amazing sound. They're also offering a new axle back setup for NPP equipped cars. Basically a muffler delete with j-pipes.

You have headers, OP does not. He’s testing the Solo Performance high flows that replace the stock cats and retaining the stock manifolds. Last I spoke with him they were working on a new design. They nailed it with the 5th gen but these LT1’s are a different bear!

yes we already have shorties so LTs do not add much and are a PIA to install. And they are a very high $ per HP.

High flow cats make alot of sense on a mild to mid build also to hold more heat on a FI build. If well built they will be expensive.

I think the ones for the 5th gen were right around $650. I’m really hoping Solo comes through with a working solution! By the way my 5th gen Camaro was named Big Red too!

My Kooks high flow cats are going in the garage as spare parts just in case I run into an emissions test problem...otherwise No cats for me.

I just talked to Jeff at Solo and they are working on a redesign to a larger size unit. They can't seem to get the CEL's to go away.
