Vert - upgrading to the LT4 in-tank fuel pump
I thought I would share. We are going through my build now and one the first things was to swap the in-tank pump. Right away we realized that the pump setup from my car was not going to work with the ZL1 pump.
It appears the choices are as follows: 1. Take the pump off the ZL1 unit and install it in the original LT1 unit. 2. Add a crossover kit and an extension basket to make the zl1 pump work with the the SS. We didn’t realize there was a different configuration on the SS Vert. Here are pictures of the ZL1 pump and my original unit. Parts required are being shipped Monday (I will try to get pictures when they arrive.) Yeah, it was a surprise because everything I saw was "direct replacement"...oh well that's how you learn.

We ordered two parts from JRE. They are: extension basket and cross over tube kit. Basically, it will extend the XL1 pump to allow it to pull fuel from the other side of the tank. Jannetty can get you the right parts when ready.

so in total how much will a zl1 pump conversion cost for a vert? (parts only)

Good question. I would call and get a quote from Ted Jannetty. You need the ZL1 pump and then two other components. I dont recall the $...but let's say it will cost approximately $200 more for the parts on the vert (depending on on shipping, etc).
