Mobil 1 0w40 dexos2
Getting ready to do another oil change soon in my 17 SS. Where can I buy this 0W40 Mobil 1 that is Dexos2? All i can find is the 0W40 European formula. Would really like to go with a 40 weight Dexos oil, especially with the hot temps in my Climate (Florida). Don't seem to be able to find this stuff anywhere, but its on Mobil1's website.
Anyone found it for sale anywhere? |

I use the Royal Purple and get it at Summit in the 5 quart jugs, it takes 2 Jugs.

not seeing the Mobil1 in any of the online GM parts dealer sites.. frustrating. Guess ill go with another brand

Motul or Valvoline will be the two Dexos2 oils to get. Valvoline MST can be found at Napa Auto.
M1 Dex2 should be available in a few more months  hopefully

Just a FYI- just bought two 5 quart bottles of Pennzoil 5W/30 Ultra Platinum Full Synthetic for $25 a piece from Amazon shipped free with Prime and used Pennzoil's rebate ( https://www.pennzoil.com/en_us/promo...NvdXBvbjE2Lw== ), for a $20 refund.
Total cost $30 for 10 quarts of pretty darn good oil, IMHO. No it doesn't have a Dexos2 tax stamp on it and its not 40W, but the car seems to like just fine and it gets really warm here too!

Is there any advantage to 0w40 over 5w40 for track use (assuming both as dexos2)?

hard to find, I found that they are at my local dealer. none in stores around here at all. Also hard to find on the net as well. Not until deep into S2 of this year they will be available in stores from what they say.
