Anyone done it for a radar detector?

Trying to get an answer.

I see the step by step for the GEN5, but nothing on a GEN 6 Convertible.

I have used mirror tap on all my cars, wanting to do the same with the Camaro, especially with there really being nowhere else to place it. I don't want wires coming from the detector to the cigarette lighter nor have wires seen.

Anyone know how to tap the mirror? Just need a clear path on how to remove the base to access it.

Sorry for the late response. I don't have a convertible but would have to assume this would work for you too. Bought the same kinda thing for my GMC Canyon. They were both very easy to install

I can confirm that the gen5dyi harness works on the Gen6 convertible, mine was poorley made and assembled that I wished that I did not pay $50 for it.
