The dealer with the Gray 2SS was giving me a HARD time about using the employee price, while the dealer with the 2SS/1LE was eager to sell. I wasn't happy after I found out exactly what the Conquest rebate was, and that I wasn't eligible since I only own GM products, so they agreed to discount the car to what was essentially Employee price less the $2k Conquest rebate, but on paper it was officially just a negotiated deal. We made the deal on 5/28, they were very clear that it only lasted until 5/31. I picked it up on 5/30

MSRP was $50,885, I got it for $44,795, or $6,090/12% off list.

$46,794 Employee price that I didn't get
- 2,000 Refund that I'm not eligible for
+ 199 dealer doc fee
+ 500 SC sales tax
+ 27.50 license transfer fee

$45,521.40 OTD

Man I wish sales tax and licensing were that cheap here! Where I'm at its 10.3% (but the dealer I bought from was at 9%. But licensing was $700. Doc Fee in WA can only go up to $150 though.

It's not your fault for not pushing harder. Supply and demand. I got 30% off MSRP in December 2016 but it was the dead of winter, the dealer was in the middle of nowhere and it was one of the last 20% bonus tag units left. The dealer discounted another 10% because they were located in the country and mainly sold trucks. They wanted to unload last year's model.

To answer another poster's question, you are correct, the dealer does not pay the dealer price. They have incentives and holdbacks. Those kickbacks vary depending on the dealer sales volume. The sales manager is really only one of the few who knows what they really paid for the car.

I got about $5500 off MSRP on mine, keep in mind I'm in Switzerland and discounts on these kinds of cars are very scarce.

Sales tax is capped at $500 in SC (recently just went up from $300), but we have to pay a yearly property tax to keep it registered. I'm prob going to pay $700ish next year, then about $50-100 less each year after that until it levels out around $300-400 every year

~5k off for the zl1
but now that I have the car I don't think this question makes sense anymore as I asked the same one myself
the amount will depend on the car and there are so many variations
it will also depend on you when you are inspecting the car

I've been looking every day for a good deal on a SS 1LE but no luck yet. I have seen a regular SS & 2SS with 8k off MSRP (I think both were under 35k). These deals have been tempting, but I really want the 1LE so I will continue my search.
