Voided warranty+Torque Converter issue

Hello. So this is a continuation of a topic that i have already talked about.

My dealer voided my warranty now because of efi tuning and my TC need to get fixed since tha oil flush will cost me 540$ Per change, and TC replacement will costs 4200$, that’s unbelievable prices and too much for me.

My alternative fix is to replace it with Circle D TC. But i want to know what is the best speed stall although i dont know what it is about and do i need to tune the transmission for the installation? Is there additional prts to install?

Thanks.. sorry for my bad english

You will need probably around 14 quarts of dexron vi hp. And that stuff isnt cheap. Since you need to do the flush, you will need 10 quarts for the transmission, and I would guess around 4 for the converter.

What other engine modifications do you have or plan to do? That will determine which stall speed.

And a new converter will need a new tune.

They want 4200$ to replace the converter? Is that USD or 4200 Rial (1150$ USD)?

Because for 4200$ USD you could get a different trans altogether!

That is crazy. Converter is $500, oil is maybe $150. 5 hours labor.

Since your tuned anyways I believe there is a way to tune out the problem. Try looking into that.

stall speed would be determined on what cam you pick out.

shift points, at a minimum, will have to be adjusted in the tune.

That price is insane. It's so high, that I would report them to GM customer care because it's flat out abuse. There is absolutely no reason swapping out an oem converter should cost more than a grand or so. Crazy!
