How Many Sixth Gen Camaro's have the 1LE Package?

I just drove most of the way across the country and back and I did not see a single Black hooded 6th Gen.

I look for another 1LE when driving or when I am a passenger and in the last 4 months I have seen only ONE for certain, it was yellow and looked good.

Is there any GM listing of how many 1LE packaged cars they build? Mine is a 2018 and the dealer said it was the first 2018 1LE in Arizona (back in October 2017). We all know a Dealer will say anything to make you feel good. It just seems there are damned few of us (not that this is a bad thing...)

They are out there. I saw a pretty HBM SS 1LE last Saturday night at a local car show.

GM doesn't publish option level build data for non-collector editions. They know, but they don't tell.

Last year build counts came out around December , there was 1,512- 2017 SS 1LEs . The number may go up this year because of the 2SS but i doubt it would break 1,800 .
I been driving a 1LE for the last 4 years , 2014 for 3 years and 2018 for the last year and have never seen another in my travels .

I actually just saw a white 6th gen 1LE this morning. Looked really good.
This is only the 2nd 6th gen 1LE I've seen around here which is hard to believe. Not many 6th Gen SS's at all really nearby.
Kind of surprising!

I think the '18 numbers might be a little higher, MT videos and the drivers car of the year fourth place gave the 1LE some good press.

Good discussion guys, thanks. Also I may have casually seen a black 1LE and not noticed the matte hood. And when driving in traffic it is hard to put a good eyeball on every car.

The previous two cars before my 1LE were heavily modified for more power and better handling. One was nice but never really got to the potential I had hoped for in handling because it is no small task to select components that work together optimally. The other became rather freakish to drive but was used up at 75,000 miles.

My 2018 1LE has in my opinion superb parts, optimally tuned factory tuned suspension. Unless you really know suspension you would never get to this level buying parts and bolting them on, or at least you would go through a few sets of springs, shocks, coil-overs, sway bars, bushings, etc. to get close to this level.

And the LT1 motor is darn nice as delivered. If I can learn to use all the 455 horses and the good torque I will be doing great. I expect the aftermarket to offer more accesories and parts for the LT1 after it has been out a couple more years. The LS2 to LS7 have plenty of aftermarket go fast goodies. It is an expensive upgrade to the ZL1 with it's supercharged powerplant, and we have the suspension already. The 1LE is pretty much the ideal package for me.

One of the reasons I got a black 1LE.
Invisibility.

All the cars I've owned, and modified, the end result was essentially going to be something like the 1LE, but with my limited resources nothing ever came close.
Sure I was able to make something quicker in a straight line, that's no great feat, but the complete package that is the 1LE would have taken me a lifetime in my driveway, and would have still fallen short.

Is it a production thing with GM and the 1LE?
When I ordered mine last fall, they didn't say to much when I was picking my the package.
The car arrived within two months.
Are they allocated to the dealers?
Could a dealer ask for ten 1LE's and expect to get ten?

When I was looking I noticed a couple dealers had a regular inventory with several in stock, others would get few once in a while, and most never had any.
