Octane Booster
What are you guys thoughts on using octane booster for our engines -I only have 91 available-
Will adding octane booster damage anything? Is it even worth it? |

If you go that route look at Boostane. I add about 7oz to a tank full, but not every tank. I noticed a lot of the gas in my area sucks

I've always used Torco. Or buy you a 5 gal drum and fill it 116 octane race gas. Throw in a gal or 2 every now and then.

Could be Hype, but this is why i switched to Boostane a few years ago
Last Black Friday, got a very good deal on a 5gal drum of it.

I found some 110 octane race gas next to me - I was going to add a couple gallons of the 110 octane to the rest of the 91 octane to try to get higher octane of the baby 93 but it says it contains lead lead ruin the engine91 octane I was going to add a couple gallons of the 110 octane to the rest of the 91 octane to try to get higher octane of the baby 93 but it says it contains lead - will that ruin the motor?
Does octane boosters have lead in them? |

You’re good with 91 octane. Don’t use anything with lead. NO LEAD!

I believe the lead will kill the cat converters.

Your car will benefit from the highest octane it was tuned for, above that, no benefit. On a stock tune you will see no benefit above 93 octane, tops. The best "additive" is to use a top tier fuel, GM fuel system cleaner and a catch can.
