Should I put a cover...
Recently bought a 2SS convertible. We are in he process of moving to another home. The car will live at the new home and over the course of the next year will be in the garage of the new home. I plan on visiting for a week each month until we relo permanently. For those three or so weeks in between visits, should I put a soft cover on the car? Why/why not? Think it also makes sense to put in on a tender?

Oh yeah, I'll be driving it when I come to visit. The new house in in South Carolina and we are currently in Illinois. Part of my visits will be to check up on the house, eyeball the pool, ensure the law is being cut, etc. I've got a service checking up on the house - bringing in the mail, ensuring the pool and lawn are being maintained as I'm paying somebody else to do all that stuff. I have the kind of job where I can work from anywhere, so I'll just go down there and work from the new house a week a month.

Just make sure that you dust the car with a good duster before putting on or taking of the cover. If there is dust on your car, it causes swirl marks / mild scratch lines.

I would. And I wouldn't put the cover back on after driving without at least hitting it with detailer if not outright washing. Otherwise you're just rubbing grit across the finish and getting the debris in the cover as well.
