The Service guy at the dealership I had my 500 my oil changed said they were going to put the new oil in but the invoice said 5w30 I said WTF? He said aah part number is just showing wrong on the invoice. Ya right. I am going with the Valvoline MST until I can get the new Mobil 1 retail. I also will definitely not get my 2nd free change until I can get it. Likely not at the same dealership......

My engine has noticeably more pep and smoother acceleration with this oil.

Now it could very well be that changing to any 0W40 oil would produce similar results. I can't say for sure since I've run nothing but 5W30 weight in every Camaro I've owned until this last oil change.

I'm waiting for someone else to announce similar results in their car so I know I'm not hallucinating.
My local dealer was able to get this oil. Had to do a search in the surrounding areas and get it sent over from another dealership outside of town. Got it in the car for my 1500 mile oil change almost 2 weeks ago.

I'm noticing the same results as you mentioned. Especially the smoother acceleration. Thought I was crazy until I saw your post.

Maybe that just makes two of us hallucinating?

That part number is for the 2019 Corvette Stingray with/Z51 or Grand Sport and Z06, ZR1 models. All these models use a dry sump oil system.

Part #12686472 is for the 2019 Corvette Stingray without Z51. That model uses a wet sump system like our Camaros.

Since it's two different oil systems it's possible the caps are not interchangeable. I just don't know off the top my head.

Never mind I've read the posts about wet sump/dry sump and realized the caps are probably not compatible especially since the price was 20$ more for the dry sump oil cap! I changed my order and should be fine.

Problem now is the parts director has no idea what is going on with this new oil and he cannot find it anywhere... I've got to say he's quite incompetent and I'm not surprised loll

Since we almost always get everything later than the US here in Canada, I guess this new oil won't be available here soon..

My dealer is not capable of getting this oil and didn't get any notice from GM that it's new standard for LT1 and LT4 engines... Seems I won't be able to get the free oil change with the 0W40 ESP mobil 1...

Since I won't track the car except a few runs at the stip after break in, wich oil do you recommend I use meanwhile the new ESP 0W40 is avaible here?

+1 for noticing a change in acceleration and noise. The car is definitely running smoother.

Hopefully everyone remembers as you do this oil change yourself that this is only available in liters so far, not quarts. I think the quarts are on the way soon. If you put in 10 liters of oil in you WILL overfill.

I had no issue calling my dealer and picking up 20 liters. The cap is a nice touch that I will be adding.

Great INFO!
