Heck, I'd just wish she would learn some new tricks... some guys get all the luck. I have an M6 and it is my opinion the car needs to have either 4.10 gears, or a 416 stroker, 1st gear is so very long especially with 6800 to 7000 rpm shift point something like 58 MPH. Then it would be god's chariot.... I fixed it with a supercharger, but was very close to trying the simpler and lighter 416 stroker. As a side note, it would seem that only E85 MSD dynos don't show the MSD torque loss.

Makes me REAL glad I decided to spend the few extra bucks for this Ported MSD on my project. Full disclosure here my car is currently sitting in Prays garage under construction. I will be creating a thread on this soon.

The car was never unstrapped from the dyno. Temps were regulated as best as possible. Three runs were made on each IM.

Car has my original STG 1 H/C combo, FBO, E85. The Blue line is the stock ported IM/TB and the Red was with the ported MSD/TB. These gains are super impressive considering my ported stock IM/TB are worth up to 17rw on FBO cars over the stock IM/TB. This is the second STG 1 car to make these numbers in indipendant testing.

Keep in mind, you will only see gains like these on H/C cars since the ported heads demand more air and the cam demands more rpm. FBO cars will see small gains last peak hp. I am working on some tuning stuff right now to help the tq loss.

So with this info , if we don’t plan on running a cam would you recommend just porting the stock IM/TB over buying a msd and bigger Tb ?

He's too busy to post much on here, but I'm pretty sure that's the consensus.

I think a a10 would definitely run faster and go straight to a msd

The never ending question, I know this struggle...

Ported stock > Ported MSD > Ported Hi-ram

Each progression has a slight gain with some loss potential in the power band it seems.

The Hi-ram is the top dog on paper, with slight performance advantage, and surprisingly costing less significantly than the msd. But the downsides being the cutting you have to do.
