AFE POWER???

Has anyone used the AFE cai? I saw today that they offer a Scorcher tune! Allowing you to download their pre designed tune to you ECU that is supposed to gain you something like 50hp/50lbs tq. It allows you to tune a stock car a car with the CAI and one with their headers m exhaust. Im just curious of what you all think of this and if any of you have used AFE on your ZL1's?

Nobody? If their claims are correct it seems like a great buy.

They make good intakes. A few people have installed them on here. They are sealed up nicely and protect from engine bay heat, but because of that they don't make much sound difference. The scorcher is a new thing they introduced this year. It's been out for Z06 LT4 for a few months I believe. Might find more information going that route for feedback. Looks like the ZL1 version won't be out till mid summer, according to their website.

i have the afe power intake on my ss and they make great products but dont mess with the tuner

Thank you for your feed back. I appreciate it! If this product was available when i first got my car i probably would have bought it. Now it seems like if i was going to void my warranty with this Scorcher tune that is generic for ZL1s. I might as well get a proper tune for my specific car. The CAI itself intrigues me....it looks well built.. Thanks again for all responses.
