I'm a real carbon or nothing kind of guy, I instantly recognize hydro dipped carbon, wrapped, etc. and I'd never before consider doing a wrap. But I just saw in Esoteric's video that SunTek "STEK" has a new film that's PPF and Carbon Weave all in one, it's actually clear and lets whatever color is below the PPF come through but with a carbon pattern. I think on black it would look VERY real while keeping the side skirts protected, which is a massive plus because these things scratch/swirl if you LOOK at them the wrong way. The clear/paint on them is crazy soft, when I first got it, they had factory defects so I polished them with a super fine finishing polish and foam finishing pad and it took the defects out. Then after using only the best microfibers and wash habits possible, if I put my swirl finder on it, I can see the straight wash marks on them. So yes, this is DEFINITELY an area I'd PPF.

I dropped a set of Zl1 rockers off to Trufiber they are still working on them.. Along with rear diffuser, splitter, and dive planes. And 10 or so interior items.. they told me to stop by and pick up some splash guards similar to ZL1 add ons one but made in CF..

I know its gonna take a while since they all ready started a mustang project about 2 mos before I met them at Coffee and cars and worked a deal with them on zl1 parts.. they were really hesitant to work on the camaro because the 5th gen didn't do so well. I had started a post and was able to show them there was some interest in CF parts for 6 gen zl1s.


I can tell you that the rocker most likely will be a cover but maybe not.. just like the 5th gen they made the side skirt go up the qtr panel a bit and hose tabs break very easy upon disassemble or install no matter who makes them.. the tabs that hold them on the car are extremely hard to make with out breaking. You will see some companies make parts half n half part abs and part CF this is why..
